he admits that at her age, she has cut down some on her activities. She no longer keeps books for income tax customers, partly because of poor eyesight but her mind is sharp and she lives in her own home, helped out by a granddaughter who does the cooking and chores.

Isora shares her house with a special cat, named Sugar, and spends as much time as she can outside. Up until the past year, she worked some in her beautiful fower garden. “I just love to be outside,” she laughed. “I am just a country girl even if I do live in town now.”

Isora lived the frst 75 years of her incredible life in the country, working on the ranch or performing in rodeo arena She leaned back in a favorite rocker and smiled as the years drifted away and once more she was a nervous, teenager having her very frst experience in the classroom. “I was 15 before I ever went to a real school,” she said. “I had never seen so many boys and girls my age and I was nervous at frst.”

The little auburn haired girl grew up on a ranch, learning to ride a horse and swing a loop before most children are ready for public school. “My daddy taught me to rope and ride and my mother taught me to read and write.” Isora said. “Finally, they let me live in Wichita Falls with my aunt so I could go to a regular school.”
