The nationally noted show in April is, by far, the Chicken Farm’s most extensively affliated event. Every April, Angelo State University, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, and the Chicken Farm host this event which is recognized as one of the best shows in America. The National Ceramics Event is incorporated into the Downtown Art Walk, as well as ceramics demonstrations, and numerous other events, dinners, and outings scheduled during the three-day event.

Every year, The National Ceramics Show brings in at least one major ceramicist. On the odd years, three headlining artists come and give demonstrations, presentations, and participate as the guests of honor. In conjunction with the monthly art walks, downtown San Angelo is transformed into a hubbub of artistic fare and appreciation, fully equipped with traditional trolleys, gallery openings, and an infux of art lovers.

Above all, the Chicken Farm’s goal is to spread the Art Spirit through the city, and it seems like Roger and his posse of fellow artists and supporters are doing just that through their hospitality, creativity, community inspired events, and an overall love for creation.  SAL
