vintage living room. Everyone can just coexist.

“When people come to have cocktails, it’s like they’re coming to our house. That’s why we call it the House of FiFi DuBois. I believe that’s part of the appeal of our lounge. We try and make it a point to learn people’s names and make our interactions more like friendships. We’re almost like a San Angelo version of the TV show Cheers . We’re like an extended family,” Toni beams.

If the one-of-a-kind furniture pieces and cold beverages aren’t cool enough, the homey loft upstairs would change anyone’s mind and make downtown living a coveted must. Equipped with a full kitchen, rooftop garden, guest rooms and restrooms, FiFi’s could easily be featured on an HGTV series. “We want to promote living downtown. It’s a lifestyle,” FiFi explains.

Though renovations have been done to make the loft more livable, the integrity of the building has remained intact.

“We don’t want to change the uniqueness of the building. We won’t build walls. We work with what’s there because it has such character,” Toni notes.

It’s hard to believe this 100 year old building was once the original McClellan store where people could pay their bills, pick up drug store items, and eat lunch. The old payment window is still intact along with the industrial freight elevator. However, the untouched reminders of times past are still evident in the store, truly paying homage to a respect for all things vintage.

Overall, FiFi DuBois is the trifecta of eclectic style, cold drinks, and good times. Everyone is always welcome where the lava lamp is always on.
