In December of 2009 Alicia Rogers asked her son, Duston, if he wanted to go to an open casting call that someone had told her about in Savannah. Duston said yes, so she grabbed the most recent picture she had of him, picked him up from school, and they (Duston, David, Duston’s dad, and Alicia) headed to Halo Modeling and Talent.

Once there, Duston had to walk the runway and say a little something about himself. This was how they met Duston’s “mother agent”, Stephanie Duke-Andrews, owner of Halo Modeling and Talent. From there Duston took a few classes of runway, interview, and acting to prepare himself to meet clients and go on castings, go-sees or auditions.

Duston had his frst photo shoot with Beth Boldt in February of 2010 to start preparing his book. He did his frst fashion show in Savannah, Georgia for

Skirt Magazine in May of 2010 for local boutiques and menswear stores. In June of 2010, Duston had a wonderful experience in Orlando, Florida, at The ARTS Expo (Applause Rising Talent Showcase); he was there a week and given the opportunity to compete in fashion

runway, creative runway, swimsuit, TV commercial, and photography, winning frst place in all competitions. All of this was done in front of agents, managers and casting directors from all over the United States and International markets for modeling.

During this week Duston also attended seminars by many of these casting agents, talent managers, model scouts, directors, writers and VIP guests from previous ARTS that were discovered and are successful. From this, Duston received many callbacks and good feedback. This led them to New York for one-on-one meetings with modeling agents; Duston was discovered and signed with New York Model Management. While in New York he did a photo shoot with William Lords and went on go-sees, met with Talent Agent CESD, and established himself with New York clients.

During one of his trips to New York in the summer of 2010, Duston met Tony Perkins, a scout for Vision LA. He scheduled a meeting with Duston and his mom and just knew the men’s department in LA would love him. They did! This led us to Duston’s next agent, Vision LA, in Los Angeles, California.
