They enjoy camping and fshing around the area, as well as stopping by at their local favorites for dinner and entertainment. The Abilene Zoo is a weekly occasion, as well as their trips to Primetime and Chuck E. Cheese. Aaron says they can’t miss out on Bogies. Their grilled cheese and brownies are popular with the Watson boys, as well as La Popular’s lemonade and cheese quesadillas. Jake is playing little league, which dad coaches from time to time. When they are fnally in the quiet of their home, Watson says, “We could do nothing and have fun. We just love living.” On Sundays, the family attends Westgate Church of Christ and is also involved with a few charities such as Love and Care, a homeless ministry based in Abilene, and The Zach Robinson Memorial. Of Abilene, Watson says, “We’re making some wonderful memories, it’s where I’m raising my babies, and I’m having the time of my life.”

Some of the best moments of his career have been the ones that most would overlook. While most are driven by fame and fortune, Watson states, “It’s not about having private jets and a yacht. I’ll settle for a little fshing boat with my two boys, and whatever my baby girl wants, she gets.” While his career has been anything but humble, Aaron is remarkably that. At the end of the day he says, “I’m unimpressed with me. If all they say about me is, ‘Aaron Watson was an alright guy. He loved his kids, he loved his wife, he loved the Lord, and he had a couple of okay songs’, then that would be pretty good for me.” “Anyways,” he adds, “I’ve already got to sing with Willie Nelson, what else is there?” U ALM
