Sasha’s mom saw a contest advertisement in the magazine and encouraged Sasha to participate. They both thought it would be a good idea, and Sasha began to work on another copy to send. The deadline was only a week away, and Sasha had to work hard, as a matter of fact, she was fnishing the drawing on the way to the post offce to get it mailed by the deadline.

Sasha received a congratulatory letter in the mail from Denise Montana-Graham, the Retail and Logistics Manager for the magazine, who says, “The Military Child Education Coalition serves military children just like you! It is an honor to celebrate and recognize students from military families and those that support them. The message: The Military Child—a Child for All Seasons is one that we are pleased to bring to the attention of national, state, and local leaders as well as sharing the joy with our MCEC community. You need to know that our magazine has over a 7,000-person distribution.” As you can see from the picture, Sasha is a talented artist. What makes it even better is that she draws from her heart. This drawing has a lot of sentimental value for her family, especially between Sasha and her dad! U TCM
